Cliff Swallow Frenzy

At the Colusa National Wildlife Refuge, Cliff Swallows are busy making their nests under the bridge in the auto tour...
Here they are gathering mud on the bank of the river below...

While we watched them, all I kept saying was how they never stop and you'd have to be pretty lucky to get a photo of one.

They are fast-moving and we got some video to show exactly how quick they are...

We also spotted swallows at the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge later that day, doing the same exact thing.

And sure enough, one actually sat still for me to photograph it!
